Fascinating lookout is a unique tourist attraction in Hungary- Photos
Farkaskútvölgy is located along the National Blue Tour, between Hollókő and Festőtold. In 2008, a motorsport centre was planned here. However, the plans changed, and a hand-shaped masterpiece was created.
Entrepreneurs noticed the beauty of the area right away and immediately fell in love. That is the reason why the motorsport centre was planned to be established there. The initial client assigned with the project turned out to be a fraud; therefore, the track’s construction failed. The entrepreneur and his family thought it was the “Hand of Fate” and wanted to symbolise the story with the lookout.
The construction of the first building on the estate was completed by 2016, which meant the reconstruction of a log house. By this time, the entrepreneurs discovered the neighbourhood of the area. The more they wandered around the place, the more they felt that they wanted to make a lasting impression. According to sokszinuvidek.hu, their goal was to provide an experience for everyone who loves beautiful views, nature and art. It became the Hand of Fate.
“The human body is one of the greatest wonders of nature. The God-human hand is actually a symbol of creation. We all live in the palm of God, and maybe people from villages and towns are better at remembering this than city dwellers, so it doesn’t hurt to remind them,”
say the owners. They spoke to several designers and artists to make their dreams come true. Meanwhile, the family has been improving Farkasvölgykút to enable them to move there later. They aim to create a yoga retreat, a potential wedding venue while establishing the Farkasvölgy Preservation and Horse Breeding Sports Association. It turned out that Benjámin Csíkszentmihályi, an artist who creates from wood, was their friend, and the realisation of the dream could begin. Benjámin immediately fell in love with the idea too. He visited the woods a lot to find the raw material he needed for the Hand of Fate.
“Everything was made of dried acacia. Beni spent a lot of working hours on this project. We cut and carried the trees to the spot whenever time and weather allowed us. To be honest, the weather was very nice towards us because it was not too cold and did not rain, which would have made our project quite challenging,”
mentioned the owners remembering about the building process. Farkaskútvölgy lies on the route of the National Blue Tour on the border of Felsőtold and Hollókő. “With this creation, we may be able to form a bridge between the two settlements, but it is definitely an experience for anyone who visits and would take a look at the undisturbed nature. It’s just a statue, a resting place, or a view of a miracle so that one can fall in love again with what God has created,” said the Farkaskútvölgy Preservation and Horse Breeding Sports Association.
